Staheli Family Farm

Welcome to Staheli Family Farm! The Farm isn’t just a place where cows live or simply a place where food grows, it’s a place where real life happens. It’s what our family has done for six generations. Take a look around. Everything you see is part of the 350-acre farm property, established in 1889 by Frank Staheli Sr., a vegetable farmer and immigrant from Switzerland. Frank was not only one of the first mayors in Washington, Utah but an agricultural pioneer who built the first rock irrigation ditches here- the primary irrigation system still used today.

 

Over the years, the farm has been used for a variety of agricultural experiments through a university extension program and has played a major role in the St. George and Washington agricultural history. Staheli Family Farm has primarily produced beef, alfalfa, and sugar beets. Over 10 years ago, we saw a need to educate children about where food comes from and decided to incorporate agritourism into our business model. Each year, we now host an average of 30,000 corn maze visitors during the month of October alone! We hope you enjoy the rich history and scenic views as you visit Staheli Family Farm.
